Working on a Star Wars show has always been a dream of mine, one I thought would require a trip to the iconic motherhouse in San Francisco. However, I was incredibly fortunate when the opportunity came to me instead.
For this project, I had the pleasure of working on two hidden planets: At Achrann and At Attin.
On At Achrann, I was responsible for set dressing the ruined suburbs, particularly the vegetation and props surrounding the Onyx Cinder's landing area. This also involved creating vegetation assets and trees using SpeedTree.
In the school's destroyed building area, I utilized a Houdini setup to add realistic destruction effects, and then added a unique touch with a pass of set dressing.
As for At Attin, I assisted a different team with the landing elevator pad, modeling the intricate details on the opening hatches visible when the ship descends to the lower levels.
Working on this show was not only immensely fun but also an incredibly rewarding experience. Watching the show once it was released was equally enjoyable. I hope you liked it as much as I did.
